About Me...
This is my second year as a school counselor. I work in a private, Christian elementary school in Memphis, TN that serves children from 18 months to 6th grade. Before becoming a school counselor, I taught 1st grade in Cabot, AR for two years. I loved being a classroom teacher, but I felt very called to be a school counselor. I went to Harding University for my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I should graduate in December with a Master's Degree in Professional School and Clinical Counseling. I am only a few hours away from an Ed.S. in Counseling. I plan to finish that degree as soon as possible. My goal is to get experience with all levels of education. I try my best to use counseling as my ministry, and I pray that I am doing it to God's glory.
I am married to a wonderful man that loves me in spite of my addiction to counseling. We have a precious teacup yorkie that we spoil constantly. We recently moved back to Memphis, TN to be closer to my family (mom, dad, and sister). In my spare time, I love scrapbooking, watching movies, and now blogging. I also spend a lot of time coaching varsity volleyball and basketball at the high school level. This has been an eventful year. I am excited that I am constantly learning better ways to help my students. I hope you enjoy my site!
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart,
as working for the LORD, not for men."
