Summer Project #1
I finally finished my first summer project. I saw an example of these on Pinterest, and I knew I wanted to make some. My first try was a complete bust, so I found better directions on Lauren's blog. Check out her project on the link below.
Supplies:
- Bottle
- Goo Gone Cleaner
- Hot Water
- Light Corn Syrup
- Tube of Glitter Glue
- Tube of Fine Glitter
- Super Glue
Directions:
- Clean the label off the bottle. I used SMARTwater bottles because of their size and shape. They are perfect for little hands to hold. Goo Gone takes the label off somewhat easily.
- Fill the bottle about 3/4 full of water. Pour the water in a mixing bowl. Heat the water in the microwave for a few minutes.
- Once the water is hot, mix in 1/4 cup of Light Corn Syrup, Glitter Glue, and Fine Glitter, in that order. While adding each ingredient, stir with a whisk to keep them from sticking together.
- Pour the mixture in the original bottle. There will be foam at the top of the bottle. To get rid of it, run water in the bottle until the foam is gone. A small part of the solution will spill out of the bottle.
- Lastly, Super Glue the lid on tight.

The pictures don't do the bottles justice. They are beautiful!
