College Day
I decided to do a college day at my school this year. I got the idea from the elementary school I used to work at. We celebrated a college week, but I decided to change mine into one day full of college related activities. I think this is such an important activity for all schools, but my administration especially loved it because we are considered a college-prepartory school.
Here are the details of the day...
My goal is to get kids excited about the possibility of college at a very young age.
Here are the details of the day...
- All teachers will wear attire representing their alma-mater.
- Teachers can decorate outside of their door with college paraphernalia.
- All students can wear attire from their favorite college sports team, parents' alma-mater, or a college they are interested in attending.
- Teachers are encouraged to do college related activities in class (class discussions, writing prompts, etc.)
- At the end of the day, there will be a College Day prep rally. Seniors from our high school will talk to the students about where they are attending college and why they choose that college.
My goal is to get kids excited about the possibility of college at a very young age.
